Looking ahead to the ETA Annual Meeting... and beyond!

I am sending this message on behalf of the European Thyroid Association Executive Committee (ETA-ExCom) to all those who will be participating in the ETA Annual Meeting (ETA-AM) to be held entirely virtually on 4-7 September 2021. Things would, of course, be so much better if our AM were taking place, as scheduled, in Milan, and we could all be together in person! We hope this will be the case before long and that next year we will celebrate a live meeting in Brussels. After about one and a half years of shocks and upheavals, it appears that we are now sailing in somewhat calmer waters, so that we, the members and many others as well, can enjoy the experience of our first ever e-ETA AM. It will be a high-quality scientific program, also including a visit to a spectacular industrial exhibition, and will, naturally, be a wonderful chance to talk and interact with colleagues and friends.

I take this opportunity to gratefully acknowledge all the hard work done by the members of the ExCom and of the Educational Board to prepare such an outstanding program of excellence in clinical and basic research thyroidology. We would also like to thank our Standing Office for their superb technical assistance in designing and managing the Meeting.

Particularly warm thanks go to our Corporate Partners and all the sponsors who have continued to support and stand by us during such challenging times.

We are looking forward to seeing you all at this exceptional Meeting in September!
